Julia Lonergan Counselling & Psychotherapy in London and Rickmansworth

Counselling & Psychotherapy in London and Rickmansworth

Is this for me?

Do you need some time and space for yourself?
Are you feeling that life is increasingly difficult and that everything’s getting on top of you?
You may have a specific problem that’s bothering you, or a whole range of issues you would like to explore.
Or you may just need to talk and be listened to.

What I provide

Based in both Hertfordshire and London, I am a warm and friendly counsellor and psychotherapist in the final stages of training.
Everybody experiences psychotherapy differently. I tailor my approach for each client, working with you as a unique individual. However, what is unchanging is my commitment to providing a safe and confidential space for you.

I am currently in my final year of a Post Graduate Diploma at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE). My training is Integrative, focused around several approaches of psychotherapy: Transpersonal; Psychodynamic; Humanistic; Existential and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The way I work is led by what feels right for the client at that time: We might explore dreams; use art and the imagination; try relaxation techniques; explore the early life; focus on the current issue or identify goals for the future, or of course, a combination of all or some of these.

Like all relationships, the one built between a client and therapist is unique. I believe the most effective healing comes from that special alliance.

People I work with

I see individuals weekly on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period of time.
I have provided support for clients with issues ranging from, but not limited to:
Relationship challenges
Work issues & redundancy
Panic attacks
Parenting issues
Suicidal thoughts
Loss of sense of self (Who am I?)
